this was so good simply not enough sauce. Used Ricotta cheese instead of cottage cheese and doubled cheeses ricotta and mozz to make it more than gooey. I adjusted according to prev reviews. replace sugar with 2 tsp ground carrot (thanks for the tip) - also replaced pork sausage with balmy Italian sausage. I doubled everything but noodles and tripled onions/garlic/parsley/oregano. only used 4 eggs. For added flavor I a whole chopped green pepper. also added the garlic when meat was browning this seems to actually release the flavor. Did not utilise any salt because all the cheeses are salty enough - this was a skillful move, it turned out perfect. will make this many more than times - cheers Craig!! PS - This sause is great on pizza too! This freezes really well too only whenever i freeze dishes with love apple sauce, I find that i need to add simply a petty chip (small tin) of sauce before cooking. just add to sides and it will piece of work it's way downwardly. the lilliputian actress can of sauce will help to moisten information technology upwards and bring back some of the tomato flavor which seems to get away when frozen. you can freeze whole or melt the lasagna, cool, cutting into serving sizes and freeze individual serving :)

I made this for my family and it was swell, the all-time ziti recipe I accept tried. 4 stars instead of v considering this recipe really should exist written that you lot need a layer of sauce on the bottom of the pan before the first layer of pasta, or the get-go layer will be really dry. The cheese between layers will keep whatever sauce from getting to the pasta on the lesser.
01/fourteen/2008
This is the best lasagna nosotros accept always had! And my BFF is Italian! Lol! The only changes I made were to add a layer of the sauce to the lesser like another review recommended. Go far a BIG can of tomato sauce. And apply a lilliputian bit more cottage cheese. It makes the sauce spread out meliorate and makes it goes farther as you brand layers! And enjoy! Thanks to whoever posted this recipe!

This is very yummy. I did have a few issues though. First, I thought information technology had too much of a tomatoey taste in the sauce and so I added some carrot based on some of the other reviews, but it all the same had that tomato plant taste then I added a few teaspoons of brown sugar. 2d, I wasn't sure virtually the parsely. It says 1 TBSP, but I didn't know if simply one/2 tbsp was to go into the sauce and the other 1/ii was to go into the ricotta mixture. I ended upwardly putting it all into the sauce and just put extra into the cheese sauce and information technology turned out fine. 3rd, I doubled upwardly on the sauce and used it all for the lasagna and wished I had left some over for extra sauce. I thought I would have plenty, but I didn't and I had doubled this. 4th, I used about the aforementioned amount of salt that the recipe called for and it tasted fine to me. Many people thought it was way too salty. Some changes I fabricated were: I sauteed onion and garlic in olive oil before adding the ground beef. I only used ground beefiness. Then added extra garlic and onion to the love apple sauce because we love garlic. For the cheese sauce I used ricotta and shredded parmesan cheese. I think the grated parmesan might go far too salty. It was a time consuming recipe, but very very good. I wish I had some sauce left over. It's very cheesy and I will make it again using my changes and possibly making sure that I have enough sauce left over.
02/04/2007
YUM! What a fantastic recipe. My picky husband even LOVED it. FYI...top information technology with mozerella cheese and broil 15 min. longer then it's not runny.
01/23/2004
I loved this recipe, with a few changes. Based on previous reviews I made a petty more sauce, used 1/8 cup minced carrots instead of saccharide, and reduced the salt. I think cottage cheese is a wonderful replacement for the traditional ricotta, and (to really freak out yous traditionalists), I use swiss cheese instead of mozzarella- a play a trick on I picked upwardly from my female parent-in-constabulary. It gives a major flavor boost.
08/08/2002
This is a wonderful recipe! It is easy to make and everyone loves it. I accept made information technology three times now and each time I used all ground beefiness instead of the pork. I likewise don't put double noodle layers, I do information technology with 3 unmarried noodle layers. It is the best!
02/15/2007
I fabricated this for Valentines mean solar day the nigt before. I substituted Ricotta for cottage cheese, just used a couple dashes of table salt in both the sauce and cheese mix, and used i pound italian sausage instead of the beef/pork combo. Baked information technology for thirty minutes covered, v uncovered, and then let it absurd and put it in the fridge. The next solar day I came dwelling house from work, put it in the oven for about xxx to forty 5 minutes at 275 (upped it half way to 350- Hubby was hungry) and served. They always say Lasagna'southward improve the next day!
09/15/2006
Way toooooo much salt, cut the common salt content past at least half. Couldn't taste to much of the season of the meal equally it was too salty. Will try it over again though with the less salt.
09/08/2010
This is a really good recipe but instead of simply using cottage cheese I use cottage cheese and ricotta cheese it blends well and leaves the lasagna with a truly urban taste... i too pre-season my hamburger
11/22/2010
I'm stuffed! I made this lasagna for dinner tonight and now it is sitting on my counter, cooling, to put in the refrigerator. Still, it is so yummy that I have a bite every fourth dimension I walk through the kitchen! I can't say that I've made hundreds of lasagna recipes before, simply out of the ones I have made, this is definitely the best. My kids loved it, and my husband, who is commonly casual virtually his lasagna eating, devoured his three servings!
02/21/2011
Way Likewise salty! just it had a nice season. I volition try and make this again but cut the salt way downwards.
01/16/2011
I have made this twice now. The outset time information technology came out manner too salty and the second was perfect. Don't add Whatever extra common salt to the cottage cheese mixture. Information technology'south naturally salty plenty from the parm and cottage.
ten/26/2010
Delicious! I put fresh spinach in each layer & use ricotta cheese instead of the cottage cheese mix. A not bad basic homeade lasagna, have fun & add other layers like veggies, mushrooms, etc.
09/thirteen/2010
I'chiliad used to cottage cheese in my lasagna equally that'south how my mom made it. Some find Ricotta to dry and glutinous(like my fellow), just I don't mind it. I actually double the cheese past mixing the cottage and ricotta together to go the both of best worlds and mix fresh oregano in it with the other mentioned ingredients(except table salt). I too double the sauce as well because the cheese and meat kinda soaks it up. Added some love apple paste and actress sugar into the sauce to take away the tang (gustation it before putting it on the lasagna!).
02/28/2011
This is the all-time recipe!!! My kids are very picky and they liked this!!! excellent sauce and love using the cottage cheese. very very tasty.
06/02/2010
Bully "basic" to get-go off lasagna, but I will use ricotta cheese next time instead of the cottage cheese mixture, other than that, I wouldn't change a thing!
09/ten/2010
I see that some of the other cooks suggested using carrot rather than sugar. I suggest using some dried sweetness basil(leaves)-about three. You can also utilise chopped basil. If using basil leaves, remove from sauce afterward simmering. Oh,and information technology's much better with ricotta
09/08/2011
My starting time time inmaking lasagna everyone in my family loved it...we had visitor that time and even them loved this recipe.... only dont add salt to the cottage cheese mixture coz information technology will end upward too salty....i volition exercise that side by side time....bang-up recipe.
01/31/2011
Succulent recipe that the playoff party quests enjoyed. I like my lasagna a little less cheesy and a little more than meaty. Just a thing of personal preference.
07/17/2010
this lasagna is groovy :) I made it for my husband who's very very picky nigh his nutrient and he ate it for breakfast lunch and dinner the next day :South. I followed the advice of other reviewers such equally doubling the tomato plant sauce and only using beef. overall this recipe is 5 stars! thanks for sharing!!
07/06/2010
My son requested lasagna for his b-twenty-four hour period meal. I found this recipe. My family loved information technology. I did add more onion, garlic, basil, and oregano than information technology called for. My family unit loved it!
12/11/2010
well this receipt was very good i did add a few things to it. because near don't go the veggies they should i added in i layer of chopped Yellowish peeper, Broccoli, celery, as well used stewed tomatoes and left out the table salt it came perfect without
02/09/2010
My =son-in-constabulary had eaten the authentic dish in Italy. Every couple days he reminds me of how great information technology was. Nosotros can't fifty-fifty ask him what he wants for dinner any more. We know the answer! A trivial time consuming with the home fabricated marinara sauce, but well worth information technology!
05/13/2009
I have made this twice but the 2nd fourth dimension I played effectually with the ingredients to conform our tastes. I used some other reviewers proffer to add Swiss near the end of the baking and information technology was a good idea, information technology gave the offset layer a nice popular. I'll never make a recipe that calls for "store bought sauce" and that is why I capeesh this one and so much. It'due south unproblematic, delicious and doesn't taste generic. Cheers. We volition continue to use CRAIG'Due south format for lasagna.
04/14/2010
Wow, this is one salty lasagna! I'thou considered a salt-aholic. And then when I saw that the only thing that reviewers really complained most was that this was to salty, I thought this is the lasagna for me. Nothing is ever to salty for me. Well, this was! I had a hard time eating it. But I ate it because I spent a lot of time making it. Besides being salty I don't remember that the lasagna actually had much other flavor to it. The merely good matter that I tin can say about this recipe is that it held together actually well. I made the recipe exactly every bit information technology said to without making any changes. I used the cottage cheese only like the recipe called for. I won't be making this again. I will keep looking.
02/27/2010
I too made a lilliputian more sauce and put a layer of sauce in the lesser of the pan. Then I drained the cottage cheese to make it more dry out. It came out perfect!
01/26/2011
I loved this Lasagna, information technology was ane of the first times my family ate the whole thing in less than two days. Very skillful the second day! I missed the spinich, and so I think I'g going to try it with that next time. A very nice dish though!
04/21/2011
Not the greatest lasagna. Tasted banal. Needed more spices to it.
02/15/2010
Yummy doozers!!
07/18/2009
Wonderful recipe! Tried lasagna for the first time and this was wonderful! I added a package of roll sausage instead of the ground pork. My family unit loved it!
07/09/2011
i thought this recipe was delicious! used one-half of each measure salt and sauteed garlic and onion before calculation sauce. also let bake for about an 60 minutes and and then baked until golden chocolate-brown.
01/15/2011
I made this more meatier past upping the ground beef/sausage to a full pound each. I also increased the oregano to one 1/2 teaspoons. I made no other changes. Very uncomplicated lasagna recipe, it came together in a snap. The boys all liked information technology, I idea that it was a lilliputian bland. I would brand this again just add together more spices next fourth dimension.
08/31/2011
Splendid & succulent! A big striking @ my business firm. I lost the garlic cloves somewhere in the store before checkout. Substitited garlic power & information technology still was delicious.
08/20/2008
My hubby is in the army, and so his friends are oft over for dinner, this was a huge hit with the states!!!! fabricated me think of when my grandma used to go far. Awesome!!!!!! thank u so much for a recipe that i will utilize again and once again!!!
06/xix/2011
I fabricated this for my birthday awhile dorsum and everybody loved it! I'm making information technology again this week for a dinner party and I'chiliad adding my own touch this time. I can't to see how information technology turns out!
02/03/2007
This is my new favorite recipe for lasagna. I used fresh pureed tomatoes (4 large ones) and it was absolutely succulent. Thanks Craig.
05/06/2009
Every fellow member of my family loved this recipe, which is very unusual at our house. I substituted Italian turkey sausage for the pork and beef and it was sooooo yummy!
05/24/2008
My family LOVES this recipe. I use the sauce for spaghetti, manicotti and of class the lasagna. I use ricotta cheese instead of the cottage cheese and I also utilize red pepper flakes to kick up the spice a bit. Always a huge striking!! I also triple the batch and put some sauce in the freezer.
12/11/2001
Wonderful! The bootleg sauce makes the difference. Will make again and again.
11/06/2007
I tried this recipe to get a real homemade taste and it by far succeeded. I didn't change anything in the recipe and information technology was crawly. I have the earth's pickiest husband and mother in law and even they ate it which was zip brusk of a miracle... I'll definately be making this recipe again in the nigh future.
11/05/2007
I changed some things, but followed the general recipe. I used only footing sirloin and followed the advice of the others and doubled the sauce. I topped it with the cheese layer using double the amount of cheese. This recipe is pretty involved and takes awhile, simply it is so worth it. My married man said that this was the all-time matter I have always made! We have eaten it all weekend and information technology is just as good leftover. Some friends tried it and said that it was the best lasagna they accept ever had! I was thrilled and will definitely brand it once again!
05/22/2008
Perhaps ricotta cheese is the best however my mom always made it with cottage cheese and I loved it. Cottage cheese is a fine substitute.
11/27/2007
Great recipe. I cooked two because I have such a big household. In 1 night, we ate information technology all, none wasted. My mother who is a southern cook, very detail, fifty-fifty loved it! Simply the clincher was when I heated up the 2d i (I'd placed it in the freezer and took it out and and cooked information technology slowly). When my husband and I came abode, my teenagers' friends and my kids had eaten it all up. All of the teens/young adults raved. It was quite disappointing to come habitation to an empty tray of lasagna, just I was soooo glad they enjoyed information technology! I made two changes: replaced cottage cheese with ricotta and used my favorite brand of spaghetti sauce instead of the love apple sauce/paste. Information technology turned out scrumptous!
03/06/2006
This is the best lasagna I've made. I did brand some changes to it (thanks to reviews) Instead of footing pork I used Italian Sausage, no table salt, ricotta cheese instead of cottage cheese and added 1 pkg of frozen spinach to cheese mixture. We beloved garlic so used 4 big cloves fresh minced garlic. As other recommendations nosotros doubled the sauce recipe (it would be excellent on other dishes).
04/17/2007
Good stuff! The sauce was flavorful although I may cut back on the salt just a tad bit. I used 1 lb of ground beef, used merely 6 lasagna noodles (three for each of the ii layers), and added some leftover tomato plant paste that I needed to go rid of. When I was assembling the lasagna, I was afraid that in that location wasn't enough sauce but after baking it in the oven, I institute that information technology was the right amount. My husband and sister really liked this lasagna and since my husband likes his lasagna to be cheesy, this was the perfect recipe. I didn't even bother with the cottage cheese/parmesan cheese layer and I'll probably get in that style in the future. I really liked how this recipe was so easy and quick.....no cutting, no peeling of whatever kind necessary.
12/27/2001
This was my first experience making lasagna. Anybody loved information technology!!! The directions were very thorough. I will definitely make this one again.
10/16/2001
Excellent lasagna, friend tried it and wanted me to make him some. Mixed up all cheeses (on blow) and then added extra pound of mozzerlla on top. Family loved information technology and is but as good the next solar day.
03/29/2009
I liked this one. I used a 15oz tin can of tomato sauce because I thought information technology was a little dry without it. I did non precook the noodles just stuck them in dry. I put sauce on the bottom and then layered from there. I as well only used ground beef considering that was what I had on mitt. Thank you for sharing it was a expert Sunday night dinner.
xi/25/2006
I idea this tasted cracking! I did however use Ricotta instead of cottage cheese, and next time ill need to make a tad more than sause, merely other than that I loved it so did my boyfriend.
08/31/2011
Excellent & delicious! A big hitting @ my business firm. I lost the garlic cloves somewhere in the store before checkout. Substitited garlic power & it yet was succulent.
10/29/2001
This was okay in my books.
x/11/2005
I was really suprised that this recipe was given v stars because it has then many bug. Several people mentioned that it was besides salty. They were right. I left out all but 1/2 teaspoon salt and information technology was still really salty - I think it's the parmesan cheese. The recipe calls for 16 oz of noodles simply if you lot do 3 double layers you simply need 18 strips. If you follow the instructions and put half of the cheese mixture, the mozzarella cheese, and the sauce between the first layer and the next, y'all have zippo to put on top of the concluding layer of noodles. I will non use this recipe again I think information technology needs some serious adjustments.
01/08/2012
Perfect recipe very delicious, my family unit loves this
02/23/2009
Very good lasagna. Go on the cottage cheese!!! It works very well when mixed with eggs and composite with a hand mixer.
10/18/2012
Way to salty! Directions are not clear about the salt listed twice. Once for the sauce and once for the cheese mixture. But information technology is way to salty and it feels similar the salty part is in the sauce. I was so proud to make sauce from scratch
10/xiii/2006
Cottage cheese in lasagna?!! Y'all are obviously not from N.Y.
09/nineteen/2001
this recipe has a great sauce, but i plant the salt in the cheese mixture to exist too much and the overall upshot was much besides salty. there was also a lack of clarity as far every bit how much parsley to actually use, and there was no mention to leave sauce for the height. maybe that was intended just i rather like to have some sauce on the top. really though, it is a great kickoff and the sauce from scratch was smashing-especially be cause i substituted portobello mushrooms and tofu for the two different types of flesh.
10/13/2011
Delicious and pretty easy to brand!
01/04/2007
I cannot cook; however, I tin grocery store and follow directions. It'due south a no brainer actually - purchase the best quality ingredients and follow the directions precisely. I wanted something yummy and bootleg for 2 holiday become togethers. Folks loved information technology. My mom (a superb cook) said it was the best lasagna she's had in her life. Oh my god, dynamite.
04/16/2009
I am not much of a lasagna fan just I decided to use the meat sauce equally my spaghetti sauce. It was good as lasagnas go simply the sauce is much better than the jarred ones in the stores plus I can add more than extras to it! Thank y'all for the recipe!
08/06/2008
I'grand new to the kitchen and was a niggling worried virtually making a lasagna from scratch, but this recipe was then easy and had such a great payoff. My family loved information technology! The merely suggestion (from the pickiest memeber of my family) was a fiddling less salt... merely I will definitely exist making this again!
03/05/2007
This is a great recipe. I highly recommend it. Everyone raved about it.
01/thirty/2012
This is the recipe my grandmother used and her family of 18 grandchildren LOVED! That was 25 years ago and then you know information technology is an older recipe and tried and TRUE. I love this recipe!!! Easy and Tastes delicious. Thanks.
04/xvi/2001
This was the first fourth dimension I ever attempted to make lasagna. It was unbelievably good. My hubby, whose mother is Sicilian and a corking cook, said that information technology was THE all-time lasagna he ever had. How'south that for a review?
03/12/2001
This is definitely the All-time lasagna I've ever made. The ground pork added an extra spark to the recipe. Succulent!
07/21/2008
be sure to make extra sauce
03/23/2005
Excellent--much like my Mom's recipe. I substituted 1/two lb. sweetness Italian sausage and 1/2 lb. hot Italian sausage for the meat, and used ricotta instead of cottage cheese. I besides omitted the sugar and salt. I prefer more layers and a cheesy top, so I made mine with a layer of noodles, 1/iii cheese mixture, 1/3 meat sauce, i/4 mozarella, etc., and finished with 1/ii the mozarella on top. I baked it for 40 minutes with no foil so the mozarella would be brown and bubbly--delicious! Thanks, Craig!
04/29/2007
Nosotros beloved this recipe. We didn't double the noodles but did double the sauce and served some on the side. I made this recipe for company twice and both times everyone loved information technology. Thanks for a cracking recipe!
04/22/2007
Succulent!
01/xiv/2012
I've been making this since I found information technology a year ago. Best lasagna I ever tasted! I nip and tuck information technology a bit but the concept stays the same. Give thanks you Craig for this recipe.
07/29/2007
Information technology'due south smashing! I flipped the order of the top layer so that the cheese was on top.
03/07/2009
Add a layer of sauce under the first layer of pasta so it wouldn't dry upward. I use Parmesan cheese and Mozzarella cheese. I personally like those two cheese the all-time and it fits well together.
09/eleven/2001
Wonderful sauce. The lasagna was delicious. I increased the recipe and had leftover sauce to freeze. I can't look to use it with angel hair pasta. The Italian Sausage did make a difference.
01/twenty/2007
This is an easy recipe to follow -- and I'm a horrible (and I do hateful horrible) cook. I made this and my husband was THRILLED. It was great! Granted, it'due south somewhat time consuming, but not one of those recipes where y'all feel pressured to run around the kitchen like a chicken. Thanks, Craig!
01/25/2008
This is a great lasagne. Different from my usual, but really adept. I've been using cottage cheese instead of ricotta for many, many years, and it's great. Also, my recipe with the cottage cheese does not accept eggs in it.
09/18/2006
My whole family and all my friends RAVE about this lasagna, my grandmother (who is an Amazing cook) said it was the best lasagna she has ever had. Cheers!!
01/08/2008
I have been making this recipe for years. I only apply beef instead of a beef pork combination and it always turns out perfectly!
10/23/2007
I love this recipe, merely I made some changes. I made the lasagna with ground turkey and only with Mazzarella & parmesan cheese considering cottage cheese and Regato is a little to heavy for my tum. I too put Tomato sauce on the bottom of the pan and on top of the Lasagna because information technology would of been to dry if I didn't.
02/17/2009
We enjoyed this, only we added crushed crimson pepper and green peppers. Additionally we cut the fat and calories by using ground turkey and two% milk mozzarella and reduced fat parmesan cheese. But don't put the reduced fatty cheese on the pinnacle until it is almost done baking, information technology burns very quickly. You could also use tin can foil during the whole baking process to go along this from happening.
01/28/2006
I came across this recipe while searching for a lasagna recipe that would exist good enough to feed a crowd. This one was a favorite of my family, and my father in constabulary. I'll exist serving it to an entire baseketball team and I bet they relish information technology too. I did use i/2 ricotta and 1/two cottage cheese. I recall I'll use more seasoning next fourth dimension, and maybe a petty more cheese.
04/11/2006
This recipe has become a staple for my family unit! We love the season, and the ease of cooking. The sauce is wonderful! I substitute soy sausage and Morningstar Farms veggie crumbles for the meat, and fifty-fifty my carnivorous family can't tell the difference. Love it!
01/15/2007
I loved this lasagna! It will be the one I make from at present on! I added chopped spinach to the cheese mixture for an added veggie. I besides substituted canned marinara sauce because I needed a quicker recipe. For a healthier version, effort ground turkey breast as I did and it'due south guaranteed a winner by anyone! Information technology turned out very well and as I said, I will make it once again and again!
x/27/2006
it was good but I volition need to change the spices a niggling adjacent fourth dimension. Subsequently reading pass reviews I added water and I'm happy that I did. I will make it over again.
07/xix/2008
My nephew made this for me the other solar day to compare to my own lasagna. To my surprise, my nephew'south lasagna was awesome. I recommend this recipe to anybody - Nifty Job nephew!
05/05/2005
Merely similar my mom used to brand. I used hot Italian sausage instead of the pork, and added probably vi cloves chopped garlic to the sauce. Only used 1 egg, and 1/2 ricotta in place of 1/2 the cottage cheese. Delicious!
09/sixteen/2007
excellant dish really enjoyed making and eating information technology
02/11/2007
My family unit really loved this recipe. It'due south a keeper and I will go far once again. Even so, I did make a few changes...I chose love apple sauces & crushed tomatoes with italion seasoning, I used two eggs instead of three, limited the salt and added worchestshire sauce to flavour the pork/beefiness mixture and added the meat mixture 1st before calculation the noodles.
01/16/2006
Wow - I've always been 1 to simply use plain spaghetti sauce and cottage cheese for lasagna, only non anymore! This was fantastic! I used i/2 lb. extra lean footing turkey and 1/2 lb. reduced fat sausage in place of the other meats (what I had on hand) and increased the sauce as suggested (ii 28oz cans italian style diced tomatoes - I prefer them to the crushed). I also used f.f. cottage cheese and 1/2 c. egg substitute (~2 eggs). I made bootleg noodles, too. Served this to husband'south bosses with garlic bread for the bread maker and a salad - everyone had seconds! This sauce is amazing and will be what I use from at present on!
04/15/2005
This was the first time I've fabricated a meat lasagna, used ground turkey instead. It was very good, though I think next time I will cook the meat with garlic and a shallot for actress season. Also my start time to make homemade sauce, so much better than a jar and easy besides! Vey skilful the next day!
06/05/2007
I am not the person in my family unit who normally does the cooking. Lately though I've been cooking up a storm. This recipe was easy to brand and tasted crawly! Thanks for your help in the kitchen with this one.
04/09/2006
We made a few changes because nosotros're vegetarian. Instead of using meat, we added a trivial more than ane/2 pound of mushrooms & some shredded carrots to the sauce. Also, I may have misunderstood something, just the whole box of noodles is too much ... i/two box is probably plenty. And like others, my married man & I both thought it was a little also salty. I probably added ane 1/2-ane 3/4 t of salt instead of 2t and information technology was still as well salty. Just if I reduced the salt some more than, this would probably go a recipe nosotros make often.
09/05/2006
Not what I was looking for, but a good recipe all in all.
x/09/2005
Really great recipe. I served this at a family unit dinner and everyone loved it. I doubled the sauce role of the recipe so I could have extra sauce to serve on the side. Otherwise I wouldn't change a thing.
12/eleven/2005
I fabricated this recipe for my boss and his family when a family member was ill. It got excellent, fantabulous reviews, and was even amend as a leftover. Not to mention my house smelled wonderful. I have used the sauce recipe for many other pasta dishes. Thanks for a new improver to my kitchen.
06/12/2005
I scaled this recipe to 32 to apply to feel at a graduation political party. I did not measure the seasoning, and used Italian seasoning instead. I likewise added an extra 29 oz can of tomato sauce and did Not cook the noodles offset, which saved lots of time. I also used ricotta and italian sausage (I was feeding italians and Croatians, I wanted authentic) They all enjoyed it!
ten/21/2007
My husband said "this was skillful, but I've had better". I wish information technology had more sauce. Otherwise proficient lasagna. Thanks!
12/29/2005
Outstanding served it to visitor and they loved it there was zip left
07/11/2004
Very skillful. I substituted the footing pork for mushrooms (very finely chopped). I fed this to my husbands family when they visited us for a week, and they loved information technology. They (the kids anyway) think they hate mushrooms, then I didn't tell them that this had one-half a pound of them. I used salt free love apple sauce & crushed tomatoes, extra garlic, no onion, and subsituted the carbohydrate for grated carrots. I volition certainly make this again, adjacent time a completely meat complimentary version.
